Loving as a Way of Seeing Art Sculpture

Loving is most of the time found in the simple act of noticing.

This is what I picked up after listening to Olivia Dean’s The Art of Loving — an album that feels like sunlight filtering through a slow morning. No wonder it was my Most listened to this year. The artist sings about quiet tenderness, the kind that lives in the pauses — in light through curtains, in unspoken care. Olivia Dean's music doesn’t announce emotion; I find, it reveals it.

In my work, I try to do this as well — to find a parallel in that gentle attention. Every bespoke crystal art object begins with raw, imperfect stones — Agate, Jasper, and other often-overlooked gems — transformed through a practice of patience and devotion, guided by the rhythm of showing up. It’s an alchemy of perception: to see the unseen, and choose it anyway.

This is what loving as a way of seeing means — to look closely enough that beauty becomes truth. Like Olivia’s soulful reinterpretation of everyday emotion, our crystal art sculptures reinterpret the essence of nature into poetic form — objets d’art à vivre that invite presence.

Love, then, becomes an art of attention. To love something — or someone — is to see it fully, and still choose it.

In the atelier, that philosophy lives through craftsmanship: the rhythm of polishing a gemstone until its story surfaces, the way light finds its path through a translucent curve. The overlooked stones — Jasper, Agate — become bespoke crystal masterpieces, fine crystal sculptures that remind us: even the simpler things can hold extraordinary depth.

Jasper, often called the “nurturer’s stone,” carries the grounding energy of stability and calm. It reminds us that devotion is found in constancy — in showing up, again and again.

Agate, with its soft layers, brings balance and clarity. It teaches that love doesn’t need to be loud to be felt; it simply needs to be true.

Because love, like light, reveals itself only when we choose to see.
